Beauty and Spa Services -SUN FX SPRAY TANNING

 
 

As part of its range of unique services, Serendipity of Pittsford is the first spa of its kind in Western New York to offer SUN FX a new tanning alternative to direct sunlight or traditional tanning beds.

The spray-on tanning process will use the SunFx system, developed and manufactured in Australia. SunFx is the leading supplier of professional spray-on tanning systems worldwide and produces a range of bronzing solutions containing DHA (a pure sugar form), purified water and bronzing salts.  In addition, their solutions contain no alcohol, oils, artificial preservatives, or perfumes.

The SunFx system offers an all-natural and safe alternative to other forms of sunless tanning treatments at a time when sun damage and skin cancer are a major concern.”

With prices starting at $12, clients can expect to be sprayed and dry in less than ten minutes but without the streaking, staining and clogged pores normally associated with older air-brush systems which can typically take up to twenty minutes.

Before & After Care:

What should I do to prepare my skin?
Exfoliation is key! You want to make sure that your skin is well exfoliated including rough skin areas like elbows, knees and ankles. Do not apply any moisturizer to your skin that day and be sure you face is free of make-up.*don't go to the gym before or after tanning *shave or wax 24hrs. prior to being tanned

What should I wear to get spray tanned in?
Preferably a swim suit or underwear, the tanning solution does wash out but you want to make sure that whatever you wear to be sprayed in is darker in color. Following your tanning session you should wear dark, loose clothing, including footwear (no tight boots).

How do I get the most out of my SunFX tan?
After being tanned you need to wait at least 6 hours before showering, waiting until the next day is best. Once your tan has developed and you have showererd, get the maximum life from your tan by keeping your skin moisturized. Apply moisturizer twice a day, after showering and before bed, we recommend SunFX Tan Extender. The more you moisturizer, the less you will exfoliate, the longer you tan will last. Whenever you are getting out of the shower or pool make sure that you are always patting dry. Avoid long baths, swimming sessions and any products that will cause your skin to exfoliate.
